The commune Wąwolnica
The gmina of Wąwolnica occupies a territory of 62,4 sq. km and lies in the Nałęczów Plateau – one of the sub-regions of the Lublin Uplands. Wąwolnica is located 23 km from Puławy and 19 km from Kazimierz Dolny. An important asset of the area is its location in the beautiful valley of the Bystra River, famous for its Nałeczów microclimate. Loess ravines also occur in the region. Given the region is typically agricultural with prevalence of small of farms, the municipal authorities are trying to use those assets to develop agritourism.
This website has been created in the course of the implementation of a project entitled "Multifunctional and two-language website of the Kazimierz Centre for Culture, Promotion and Tourism dedicated to the gmina of Kazimierz Dolny and the sub-region of the tourist triangle Kazimierz Dolny – Nałęczów – Puławy”, co-funded by Switzerland within the framework of a Swiss programme for cooperation with the new EU Member States “EUROchance for the Lublin region – creation of a social consensus for a balanced development of the sub-region in the cultural landscape of the tourist triangle: Nałęczów – Puławy – Kazimierz Dolny”.
