The commune Końskowola
The gmina of Końskowola lies in the western part of the Lublin region, in the basin of the Kurówka River, 6 km from Puławy and 21 km from Kazimierz Dolny. The southern part of the gmina is located in the area of the Nałęczów Plateau and has rich natural resources. Numerous plant nurseries are found in this area, especially famous for cultivating rose bulbs – hence its name “the Land of Roses”. Duchess Izabela Czartoryska is credited with initiating the tradition.
This website has been created in the course of the implementation of a project entitled "Multifunctional and two-language website of the Kazimierz Centre for Culture, Promotion and Tourism dedicated to the gmina of Kazimierz Dolny and the sub-region of the tourist triangle Kazimierz Dolny – Nałęczów – Puławy”, co-funded by Switzerland within the framework of a Swiss programme for cooperation with the new EU Member States “EUROchance for the Lublin region – creation of a social consensus for a balanced development of the sub-region in the cultural landscape of the tourist triangle: Nałęczów – Puławy – Kazimierz Dolny”.
